A Day At The Zoo

We love the zoo, our daughter loves the zoo, but what I love more, is $5 zoo day.  For just $10, our family of three enjoyed a day at the zoo in celebration of Conservation Day. We packed our lunch, loaded our gear {stroller, camera, baby essentials} and headed out first thing in the morning.  The zoo was full of guests, we made our way through the bird aviary, the children’s zone and an African safari…and stopping along the way to take pictures.

We played in the splash zone.

We looked for the otter.

We observed the orangutans.

We pointed at the pink flamingos.

We counted the spots on the giraffe.

We ate our lunch under in the shade and headed home.  It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday.

How do you spend your weekends together as a family?  Do you partake in your community’s discount or free activities?  We love finding family fun on a budget.
