Dads Who Smoke Can Cause Baby Problems
if (is_single()) { ?>
} ?>We recently posted an article about how important it is for women who smoke to kick the habit before they try to conceive. Unless you’re living under a rock, smoking can be extremely harmful to a fetus, and can impede in what would be an otherwise healthy pregnancy. But what about Dad? You may curious to know that it has been shown that men who smoke can actually negatively impact both his partner’s fertility and the healthy development of a baby.
If you are trying to conceive, men should know that smoking can both lower the quality and count of his sperm. Smoking can decrease the chances of conceiving a healthy baby. Everyone should know that once your baby is born, second hand smoke can be extremely harmful to babies and children. Think you’ll just change your habits and smoke outside the house? Think again. We know that first and second hand smoke is bad, but “third hand smoke” can be harmful as well. Third hand smoke is the kind that stays on your clothing, hair and in your car.
So what can you do? Commit to quitting once and for all.
