One concern of every woman is “When and how will I know if I am pregnant?” Pregnancy may be something you are excited about or it may be something that you weren’t expecting. Regardless, the question still remains the same “How do i know if am pregnant?”
There are many signs of pregnancy. We like to break the signs down into two categories: soft signs and hard signs.
Soft signs can be a sign of pregnancy, however it can also can occur for many other reasons other than pregnancy and may not mean that you are pregnant. Soft signs may include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, breast enlargement, moodiness, bloating, food cravings,
and finding usually enjoyable foods to be unappetizing.
A hard sign of pregnancy is when you miss your period, especially if your periods occur regularly and on time. If this occurs it is important to take a pregnancy test which today are extremely accurate and will determine if you are pregnant
Another sign of pregnancy may be implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding refers to when a woman has vaginal spotting which may occur during the time of a period. Most women who have healthy pregnancies do not have implantation bleeding however this may still occur occasionally. Vaginal spotting may be a sign of pregnancy or may be a sign of other complications in general or with a pregnancy which we will discuss in a later segment..
Ultimately, if miss a period, simply purchase an over the counter home pregnancy test which are as accurate as one your doctor will use and will be almost as accurate as a blood test your doctor will order. If you have any further questions about signs of pregnancy, please ask below!
