Problems Conceiving? Stop With The Pot
if (is_single()) { ?>
} ?>
If you are trying to conceive, you and your spouse have got to stop with the pot! According to research, sperm under the influence of THC, the active ingredient in your marijuana, swim frantically in the beginning, but burn out before they reach the egg. This makes it more difficult for the sperm to reach and fertilize the egg. Further, THC can reduce a man’s sperm count and seminal fluid because it lowers levels of testosterone. What’s worse? THC can stay in your system for a long time, so its best to quit altogether, rather than vowing to quit just before sex.
For women trying to conceive, its best for them to give up marijuana as well. When a woman smokes marijuana, traces of THC wind up in her vaginal fluid and reproductive organs. This means that the sperm will be introduced to the THC via the fluids. As mentioned before, this exposure will impair the sperm’s ability to function normally. And just like we explained above, THC stays in a woman’s system for a long time too, so its best to say syonara to that spliff, peace out to the pot, bye to the bong, or…well…okay you get the hint.
