Drinking And Pregnancy – Know When To Stop
if (is_single()) { ?>
} ?>It is no surprise that while pregnant, you should avoid all alcoholic beverages. It is well established that drinking and pregnancy do not mix. But what about boozing before you know you are pregnant? In other words, when exactly should you call it quits – do you need to quit drinking while you are trying to conceive? You might not like our answer, but once you decide to try to conceive, you should say adios to alcohol, or at least cut back big time. The reasons are numerous. First of all, you might not always know exactly when you conceive, so its safer to stop drinking immediately. This is a sure way of knowing that you will not ingest alcohol once you initially become pregnant. After all, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Second, heavy drinking can actually make it tougher to conceive. Specifically, heavy drinking can really wreak havoc on your menstrual cycle, making it more difficult for your egg to implant itself in your uterus. If you do decide to drink alcohol while you are trying to conceive, remember that moderation is key. Drink slowly and always drink with plenty of food and water.
