37,000 Sassy Infant Teethers Recalled

Sassy Teether RecallSassy, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 37,000 Refreshing Rings Infant Teethers/Rattles because small pieces of the plastic ball can detach and pose an ingestion hazard.

The product has a red, water-filled ring on one end and a black and white polka dot ball on the other end.  The ends are connected by a black and white plastic rod with three floating rings.  The style number 80026 is printed on the package.

The teethers were sold at mass merchandise and baby specialty stores nationwide from July 2009 through January 2011 for $5.

If you have the affected teether, you should immediately take it away from children and return the product for a free replacement toy.  For more information, you may call Sassy at 800-323-6336 between 8am and 4:30pm ET M-F or visit www.sassybaby.com.
