Say goodbye to handling dirty diaper trash cans. The Diaper Champ Delux by Baby Trend comes right out of the box ready to go – no assembly required. It is available in both pink and blue colors to accommodate your baby. This diaper pail is convenient in that it allows you to dispose of diapers with only one hand; a relief for moms who want to keep one hand on their squirmy baby. Simply drop a dirty diaper in to the wide mouth opening, flip the lever, and the sight (and smell) of the dirty diaper vanishes out of sight and out of mind.
The diaper champ deluxe accepts either cloth or disposable diapers. Notably, unlike some other diaper pails, you can use the diaper champ with any trash bag you have on hand. To remove a bag, you simply push in the button on the front of the pail and lift both the blue and white tabs up. To put a new bag in the diaper champ, you push in the same button, but only lift the top tab. Putting a new bag in main body of the diaper champ takes seconds and you’re ready to roll.
Some moms complain that over time the diaper champ does not eliminate the smell of dirty diapers. Moms should remember that the diaper champ is housing dirty diapers – it is therefore important to change the bags frequently and to clean the diaper champ at least once a week with an anti bacterial product. This “smell problem” might also stem from the fact that as your baby grows (and begins to eat solid foods) their diapers tend to get…well…shall we say… larger and naturally smellier. As such, you may want to try changing the bags more frequently than you did when your baby was a newborn.
