Babyssentials decided to review the Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 Car Seat because we love it’s longevity. Once your baby outgrows a rear facing infant car seat, he or she still needs a car seat or a booster for several more years. Rather than investing in a ton of seats and boosters, this 3 in 1 car seat grows with your baby, thus saving you money.
Installing this car seat is not too difficult. It takes approximately thirty minutes to put the seat together, including the time it takes for you to read the manual.
The Graco Nautilus 3 in 1 Car Seat has a five-point harness which accommodates children from 20 to 65 pounds. It converts into a high back belt positioning booster for a child 30 to 100 pounds. It also converts into a backless booster for a child 40 to 100 pounds. Because the new recommendation is that you try to keep your child in a 5 point harness for as long as possible, this seat does the trick.
We are sure that you agree that the most important thing to consider when purchasing a car seat is safety. This seat has a steel reinforced frame for durability. The 3 in 1 car seat has been engineered and crash tested to meet or exceed US standards.
Although keeping your precious cargo safe is your first concern, it should be noted that this car seat is fairly inexpensive – an added bonus!
The Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat also comes with a ton of fancy bells and whistles. For example, it has an adjustable head rest that can be adjusted with one hand. It has a 3 position recline and wide padded armrests for comfort. It has EPS energy absorbing foam so your child wont slump over while they sleep in the seat. It comes with a cup holder that can hold not only a sippy cup, but also a “big-kid” water bottle. The car seat also has side storage to keep must haves items like toys or wipes handy. The seat is also narrow enough that you can use the other two seats in the back of the car!
In terms of installation, this car seat can be safely installed into your car using a seat belt or latch system. Although the latch system does not use “alligator” style clips (which have easy to use red release buttons) like some other car seats we have reviewed, it still does the job and conceals nicely into the back of the unit.
The Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 Car Seat is safe and affordable. It will save you money in the long run with its versatility and longevity. Ultimately, we think this is a great purchase.
