31.5 x 19 x 41.5 inches ; 11 pounds
The Triumph is MacLaren’s mid-line stroller. If you want to go to their higher end stroller, try the Quest. Their basic stroller is the Volo. The Triumph comes in a variety of cute colors to fit your style, including scarlet and silver, rasberry and silver, navy and silver, charcoal and silver, and coffee and silver.
The Triumph is light weight at only 11 pounds, but slightly heavier than the Quest Sport model. It features a single hand fold and comes with an adjustable shoulder carry strap which is a great feature, especially for urban mommies. Another nice feature is the ergonomic foam grip handles. The handles are not adjustable, but they are set at a comfortable height if you are of average height.
If you’re looking for a comfortable seat for you baby (and who isn’t!?) you will be happy to hear that the seat comes with a adjustable strap recline feature. The intro level Volo stroller, notably, does not have a recline feature, and the flagship Quest stroller has a mechanical recline. The seat is padded and is fully removable and washable. Of course, it comes with a 5 point harness for optimum safety. This stroller is suitable once your child is 3 months old, so it is important that we point out that this stroller does not come with an extendable leg rest like the Quest does.
The wheels on this stroller are amazing in our humble opinion. The stroller feels sturdy when wheeling it around, especially for an umbrella stroller. The wheels are 4.5 inch dual swiveling wheels, which give you a smooth ride. Even better – the wheels lock easily which is great if you are stroller on rougher terrain. And nice new feature for the Triumph is the foot operated linked parking brake.
Underneath there is a pretty good sized storage basket, but we will note that when the seat is fully reclined it can get a little difficult to put things in and out of the basket. Finally, another new feature is a bigger canopy to shield your baby from the rays. We will note that there is no window on the canopy, so no peeking! If you are looking for a Maclaren stroller with a window, go with the Quest.
This stroller is no muss no fuss. It is durable, attractive, and comfortable, but be forewarned, it doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as the Quest. However, it does come with one bell and whistle that we absolutely love – the Maclaren lifetime warranty!
